Spring Cleaning Tips for Your RV Lifestyle

Spring is finally within reach, and that means it’s time to prepare your RV for another year of adventure. Whether your RV was parked in the garage for the winter or you drove it down south to escape the cold, spring is the perfect time to clean off last year’s dust and start the new camping season fresh.

Wash the Exterior

Washing the exterior of your motorhome or travel trailer can be a bit more difficult than washing an everyday vehicle, but clearing away the grime and keeping your RV in top shape will ensure that it lasts many more camping seasons. Use a wash and wax solution, an adjustable brush for those hard-to-reach places and a couple of non-abrasive wash mitts to help you get the job done as quickly and thoroughly as possible.

Clear Out the Interior

Packing your RV away for the winter isn’t as much fun as bringing it back out in the spring, which means you probably didn’t spend a lot of time cleaning out your RV before you pulled it into the garage last fall. Take some time to go through the interior of your vehicle and clean out any cabinets or compartments that you may have missed. Even if you did do a thorough cleaning before winter, you’ll want to check the interior for any critters who may have inhabited your RV while you were away.

Redecorate

Whether you’re a seasonal or full-time RV traveler, spring is the perfect time to make upgrades to the interior of your RV and give it a fresh new look. Simple changes like swapping out old rugs, dish towels, throw pillows and blankets for new styles and colors can make a big difference in the way your RV looks and feels. Bring in the liveliness of spring with a few green house plants or a fresh bouquet of spring flowers.
