It’s that time of year again – time for the Great Frederick Fair! It’s going to be a good one this year, with live performances by Darius Rucker, Kellie Pickler, REO Speedwagon, Billy Currington, Vince Gill and more! And let’s not forget all the Great Frederick Fair essentials – tractor pulls, carnivals rides, horse shows, great fair food and more! Of course, that’s not even mentioning the best part of this year’s Great Frederick Fair (well, WE think it’s the best)…the Beckley’s display!
That’s right, Beckley’s will be there just as it has been for the past 30+ years with our RV display that’s bigger and better than ever! This year, we’re showcasing some of the latest and greatest RVs on the market, including a Palamino Popup , Visa Travel Trailer, Spree Escape Travel Trailer, Sportsman Travel Trailer and our brand new Little Guy! If you’re interested in touring a brand spanking new RV, come see us next to the 4H buildings across from the main ticket stand. One of our experienced sales professionals would be happy to answer any RV related questions you might have! What else is there to do at the Great Frederick Fair?
While we don’t see why anyone would ever want to leave the Beckley’s display (only kidding), there are plenty of other fantastic things to see and do at the Great Frederick Fair – over 18,000 exhibits to be exact! This year there are going to be over 200 vendors at the fair, selling everything from crafts to cars, gym sets to gems, air conditioners and gas fireplaces and everything in between! Will you spend your time along the Midway, with its 38 rides and huge assortment of carnival games? Or maybe you just want to check out the food – fresh Maryland crab cakes, hot Italian sausage, country ham sandwiches, candy apples…literally anything you could want (just don’t do the food and the Midway back to back!!)! Whatever your fancy, you’ll find it and more at this year’s Great Frederick Fair (we didn’t even mention all of the great livestock and agriculture displays going on)!
That sounds great! How do I get to the Great Frederick Fair?
The Great Frederick Fair is located just off I-70 in the heart of Frederick.
From Baltimore: Take I-70 West to East Patrick Street, exit #56. Follow directly to the fairgrounds on right just past Monroe avenue.
From Washington: Take I-270 North to exit #32, I-70 West to exit #56. Make a right at the end of the exit and follow straight, fairgrounds will be on your right just past Monroe Ave.
From Hagerstown: Take I-70 East to exit #56. Make a right at the end of the exit and follow straight, fairgrounds will be on your right just past Monroe Ave.
From Gettysburg: Take Route 15 South to Frederick, use Baltimore I-70 East to exit #56. Make a right at the end of the exit and follow straight, fairgrounds will be on your right just past Monroe Avenue.
From Harpers Ferry: Take Route 340 North onto I-70 East to exit #56. Make a right at the end of the exit and follow straight, fairgrounds will be on your right just past Monroe Ave.
The Great Frederick Fair starts THIS WEEKEND and runs from September 16th – 24th! It’s guaranteed to be one of the most fun family activities you’ll do this year, so don’t miss it!
