The good news is you won’t have to wait much longer! We expect to begin offering rental units as soon as May 20!
Licensing and Training Requirements to Rent RVs
You’re probably curious whether you need any special license or training to rent an RV. First let’s narrow the discussion a little. Beckley’s offer’s three different types of RV’s to rent, which include two motorhomes, one travel trailer and a pop-up camper. Travel Trailers and Pop-ups are towed behind a truck or SUV and thus do not require any sort of special license or training. Beckley’s also offers a Class A motorhome and a Class C motorhome options to rent. Driving the vast of majority of motorhomes requires no special license either, and is easier than many newcomers think. You must be at least 25 years of age with a valid driver’s license to rent most RVs. Some states do, however, require a special license for large motorhomes over a certain GVW (gross vehicle weight). All of the rental RV units available at Beckley’s can be driven with a standard driver’s license. If you are at least 25 and allowed to drive a car, you are allowed to rent and drive a motorhome.
